Well the Olympics are over (tear :'() and my Fantasy league is obviously over. Meaning of course that I have time to do other things, like get the house ready for my Mother-in-law. Anyway, Since I had Phelps on my team I won my division, The Jim Thorpe Division, although not by much (3 points). Thats part of the problem having 3 out of 12 people not do anything for your team whatsoever. But overall through all of the leagues I tied for third (although the tie-breaker demoted me to fourth). So all in all not bad. This is my team and the points that they scored. (3 for gold, 2 for silver, 1 for bronze):
1. Michael Phelps - 24
2. Nastia Liukin - 10
3. Jeremy Wariner - 5
4. Matt Emmons - 2
5. Raj Bhavsar - 1
6. David Boudia
7. Margaret Hoelzer - 5
8. Kerri Walsh/Misty May-Treanor - 3
9. Laura Wilkinson
10. Sarah Hammer
11. Samantha Peszek - 2
12. Julia Smit - 3
I had a blast doing it and this is definitely something I will be doing again in the 2010 for Vancouver.

100 Greatest Books #77 - Trilogy: Molloy, Malone Dies, & The Unnamable
The next compilation of books is listed on the Norwegian book list and also Malone Dies is listed on the Observer book list.

The Trilogy at first reminded me of Ulysses, which if anyone has noticed, I despised. But Beckett soon broke away from the incessant ramblings that plagued that novel and gave two really good stories, Molloy and Malone Dies. The novels are written with all emotion removed and in a rather cryptic way that keeps the reader guessing as you read on. The second half of Molloy seems like the second half of the story, but as you read you get the feeling it may be the prelude to the first half. Malone Dies at first seems to be completely disjointed from the first novel but reading on you get the feeling it may be Molloy and is just a continuation of the first novel. In the third novel, The Unnamable, Beckett returns to the rambling speech that is full of run-on sentences saying nothing. If it was not for the last novel I might recommend this but the last novel killed it for me. Unfortunately you need to read all three to get the entire feel for the novels. So although I somewhat enjoyed parts of it, I can not recommend this as a novel to be read.

Fantasy Olympics
Ok, so I know it has been a little while since my last post but I have been a little busy. First updates about me.
1. I got hired by the URS office out here in Salt Lake City. So now I don't need to be supported by the New York office anymore (Which it was awsome of them to do) but I also get a 40% raise. YEA!!!!. So I will basically be doing the same type of work (GIS and Geology) but on a wider range of topics.
2. I joined a Fantasy Olympics team. You can see my team HERE. This is pretty cool. You pick 12 players and 1 tie breaking country. Each medal the person wins you get points (3 for gold, 2 for silver and 1 for bronze.) And the most points at the end wins. I had a first round draft pick so I get Phelps. No money for competing but it is really cool, I get to cheer on my team. I am also in two other competitions for the Olympics, one at NBC.com and the other at ESPN. So I have been pretty busy trying to keep everything in line. It is the only sporting thing I follow so I need to take advantage of it when it is around.
3. The Clone Wars opens Thursday night and I have my Midnight showing ticket. The other love of my life STAR WARS opens with a new movie and I will be there from the opening second. YES!!!.
Ok thats all for now. I will hopefully update posts with out trips that we have been taking around the lovely state of Utah. Most likely those will go up when Veronica goes back to being on call towards the end of August.
